(1) DALY FAMILY KILCUMMIN, ROSSANEAN & LYRE, KILLEENTIERNA - CURROW

The Daly Family from Kilcummin & Lyre in Killeentierna are interwoven with Fleming Ancestry.
A quote I adore by Sheila Daly Maguire, Lyre, Currow: ''The Dalys from Lyre are possibly more Fleming than the Flemings themselves''

(2) DALY FAMILY KILSARCON & FARRANKEAL

One Daly Family originates in Kilsarcon. A Patrick Daly from Kilsarcon marred Julia Costello in Manhattan NY USA on 15 October 1912. Julia was also from Kilsarcon. Patrick Daly and Julia Costello eloped and immigrated to the USA. They had two children born there in the USA: Gerry Daly and Michael Daly. Both Pharmacists. Patrick died young while in the USA and Julia returned to Kilsarcon where she met and married GL1 David Fleming ('Dave'Dave) in 1923. They lived at Farrankeal.  Both Julia and David were widowers. David had lost his first wife Hanora Leane from Fahaduff in 1922.

Michael Daly MPSI worked in Tim Costello's Chemist Shop at Drumcondra before he joined Rice & Steele Pharma as a sales man. He visited at Kilsarcon every three months on his way to Dingle which was an additional hour to his Journey..
