Family: Daly

There are at least two different lines of the Name Daly associated with Fleming Family Ancestry.

One Daly Family originates in Kilsarcon. A Patrick Daly from Kilsarcon marred Julia Costello in Manhattan NY USA on 15 October 1912. Julia was also from Kilsarcon. Patrick Daly and Julia Costello eloped and immigrated to the USA. They had two children born there in the USA: Gerry Daly and Michael Daly. Both Pharmacists. Patrick died young while in the USA and Julia returned to Kilsarcon where she met and married GL1 David Fleming ('Dave'Dave) in 1923. They lived at Farrankeal.  Both Julia and David were widowers. David had lost his first wife Hanora Leane from Fahaduff in 1922.

The Daly Family from Lyre are interwoven with Fleming Ancestry. As one Daly family member says: ''The Dalys from Lyre are possibly more Fleming than the Flemings themselves''
